Relative Care

Pros and Cons

Pros:

1. Affordability:

2. Familiarity: Your child is cared for in a familiar and comfortable environment, your home or the relative's home.

3. Convenience: No packing up and transporting baby or child to another location for care.

4.

5. Flexibility: If your hours are irregular or you only need care part-time some weeks, full-time others, a relative is more flexible then center based care.

6. Less Illness:  You child will not catch every cold and other strange illness floating around the daycare center.  This in turn results in less work days you or your spouse will be forced to miss due to a sick child.

Cons:

1.

2.

3.

4.
